Well it’s Whaling season again, the Nisshin Maru left the port of Innoshima on Monday, expect the usual amount of hype and misinformation to start hitting our media in an effort to whip up some good news weeks.

Take a look at the comments at the bottom of this story..

“Everyone should join the facebook group with over 260,000 Aussies and Kiwis demanding they dont come into our waters. Its called F— Off Japan…”

And this little gem..(including published spelling mistake)

“May your ships hit icebergs, may yur sailors drown alone and cold in the ocean they try to rape and plunder”

What sort of redneck image are these activist trying to portray..

I don’t understand why we don’t hear more about Norway and Iceland and their whaling and I dislike being dumped in the “Your an Aussie therefore you are against whaling and Japanese” bucket, which on more than one occasion made people think twice about inviting me to social events.

I found an interesting video that some of these vocal activists should watch…

  1. It frustrates me reading the comments on stories like that in the herald sun …. lots of misinformation and ‘advice’ for solving the problem that’s so way off it’s laughable.

  2. I was amazed at the “Other” world record Australia holds… you don’t see that on the news every year…
