I've been looking for a long time for video footage of the fires and the video you shared was “great” – if I can use that word for such a disaster. I'm from Victoria too and, like many, am completely stunned by what's happened over the last few days. Sono da Victoria troppo e, come molti, sono completamente storditi da quello che è successo negli ultimi giorni. Words can't describe what these people have just been through. So I tried to capture an essence of what's happened in a photo video and posted on YouTube – you may care to take a look. It is sad indeed to think about the animals that vanished in the firestorm. E 'davvero triste pensare che gli animali scomparsi nella tempesta di fuoco. I live away from the disaster zone but can smell the smoke in the air from where i live. Io vivo lontano dalla zona del disastro, ma l'odore del fumo in aria da dove vivo. Like yourself, i too hope that this tragedy will end soon. Come te, anch'io mi auguro che questa tragedia finirà presto.

Awful situation down there. Terribile situazione laggiù. Glad to hear your friend and his family are OK. Contento di sentire il tuo amico e la sua famiglia sono OK. That photo of the firefighter and the koala provides at least one bright spot in a very dark situation. Quella foto del vigile del fuoco e il koala prevede almeno un punto luminoso in una situazione molto scuro.
