This weeks Photohunt theme is 13, I struggled to get a good shot for this theme but my good friends Susie and Chakey helped me choose the photos for this week. Actually Chakey is the bar owner and main star of the photos.

Unfortunately after more than my fair share of drinks the photos from the cell phone didn’t turn out that great but as you can see I coerced Chakey to point to the number 13 on the darts board and then he volunteered to hold the number 13 card (king) from his magic deck in front of his Playboy Slot Machine which pulls more money than my adsense….geez … note to self.. buy Playboy Slot Machine and place in drinking bar… Chakey.. パピーはどこですか。。。。

Anyway, I hope you all have a great weekend and happy Photo Hunting

I took this photo of a Twisted tree at the top of a mountain in the Victorian High Country in April 2001 while testing out my new Holden Jackaroo, also known as an Isuzu Trooper in most other countries.

The 4WD track took me from Omeo, up through the Wonnangatta Valley,Butcher Country, Dargo, Sheep Yard Flats etc… a really great and scenic drive and about a medium 4WD skill level needed in some parts. Expect the usual 7kmh crawl rate…

It’s nice to look back at some of the joys of living in a country as great as Australia, and always knowing that a 9 Hour flight from Tokyo can always get me back for another High Country Adventure….

Happy Photo Hunting Every body.

This weeks Photo Hunt theme is Glass. I took this photo last summer in Okinawa, As you can see behind the Glass there a couple of snakes used in the production of Habushu.

Habushu: ハブ酒 Habu(ハブ) is the name of the Snake and Shu/Sake(酒) is Japanese for alcohol. This particular poison is over 40% alcohol, which is the minimum % required so the snakes poison remains safe for consumption.

I have my own bottle that cost about ￥１２０００、and is refillable as long as you keep the alcohol content above 40%, and above the level of the snake.

Habushu is also meant to be an aphrodisiac and very good for you….I’ll leave that up to your imaginations now…

Happy Photohunting this week.
