Following up from my last 5 Minutes Video here is the return voyage but being a Friday I didn’t end up heading straight home I decided to go and eat and drink at my favorite Oden shop.

Join me on my commute from home to the office. This weekday ritual takes one hour thirty minutes door to door. I managed to keep it down to 5 minutes long with a backing track you should recognize if you have been in Japan for a while. You get a cameo appearance of ST’s which is a Monday and Friday event only.

5 minutes: Shinjuku to Kabukicho

Today I’m starting a new series called “5 Minutes”. With the recent purchase of an Xacti HD800 video camera and more than enough interesting things happening in my daily life I have decided to capture some of the more interesting moments and share the with you 5 minutes at a time.

The first video in the series is a walk from East Exit of Shinjuku Station to the top end of Kabukicho. Although it was a little dark you can still see a couple of popular landmarks and one of my favorite shops selling maid costumes, you will even catch a glimpse of a somebody you may know.
