I sometimes read the JohnChows of the world and get a laugh when they say they get a lot of comments for controversial posts…say 150-200 comments… and then their avid followers start talking movie deals and mega star status only to artificially inflate their success.

Head over to dannychoo.com for an education, He recently sold his dannychoo.com domain name for 5.1 million dollars….. gee… and not an Entrecard in sight…

For dannychoo.com this means that the 5.1 million USD will be used to further develop the Mirai Gaia platform which will enrich the user experience and increase discoverability features for the first time visitor.”

oh, and this post got 1537 comments..

Go and check out his stats for January.

“January served just over 11 million page views (11,376,356) to an average of 62,996 unique daily users (up from 57,842 last month). The monthly unique users amounted to an accumulative total of 1.9 million visitors (1,952,901).”

While other A-league(cough) bloggers talk about this kind of success, dannychoo just gets on and does it.

  1. Can you guess which part of this post made me snicker a bit? ^^ I think that line is already becoming the signature of a Paul Hartrick blogging post. XD

He’s really amazing! Imagine being in the middle of a hugely popular niche … *dreams*

  2. @Evil Woobie i’d say it was the reference to Entre Card right? … i must say, i had a good laugh reading this and revisited it several times to re-read. Today wasn’t a productive day for me ….. no idea why. ;>)

  3. yeah, i use the dirty ec word because it rates well for a google index.. and I always get a laugh.

  4. See, and I came to your site because I just finished reading your rejection of EC over at JohnCOW.

But MAN, I wish this blogging thing-or the internet-had been around when I lived in Tokyo. I would have LOVED not to have had to teach English as my source of income.
