Work Overseas

“Why Work Overseas” ?
Many students break their studies with an overseas work adventure. Others choose to work overseas after their University degree. Most agree that putting a course or job-hunting on hold to work overseas brings many benefits and can also be an excellent career move. Benefits include:

*Unique experience in jobs that may not exist locally;
*Excellent resume building (employers are impressed with experience that shows initiative and not just academic record);
*Exposure to other cultures;
*Travel and adventure.

“Where to go” ?
The choices available to students are immense. Many countries have bilateral working visa arrangements with Australian citizens for young people. For students with other nationalities, different arrangements may apply. Check out the relevant visa office: for example, if you wish to work in the UK, contact the British embassy to find out about eligibility, fees and requirements.
