This weeks theme for Photo Hunt is “Old Fashioned”, and I am submitting 2 photos this week.
This first one is a shot of the Fairfield Boathouse is Melbourne, Australia. I guess in times gone by, before computers and video games, this was one of the many styles of amusements for people to enjoy. I guess some would say rowing your sweetheart around and lake on a beautiful day would be classed “Old Fashioned”. Ladies, do you miss this kind of attention? I bet you do….
This second photo is a little closer to my heart.

Now while it’s not one of my photographic masterpieces, but you could say I played a part in it’s composition. Now the reason I have included this shot for the topic of “Old Fashioned” is not because of the age of the photo, it’s because of the “Old Fashioned” shirts that we are wearing. Up until recently you could only buy that style shirt from the Salvation Army shop, or steal it from a homeless man. Scary I know but I am sure everybody has a photo or two that fits into this very category…. Looking at some of the latest fashions around I do believe that style of shirt is making a comeback…. however you won’t catch me in that style anytime soon. Thanks for the photo Bro…

Heh, I get seasick even on those bicycle paddle boats. Sad but true. Don’t know how I’d fair on a rowboat. So guys, ask the lady in question
Funny thing is, I’m going on a cruise in May… Hmm. But I hear you don’t get seasick on big boats. We’ll see…

I love the shirts. I have certainly noticed that they are more popular now. Old photographs are fantastic. I was at the Cricket Test in Adelaide this week and we always take clients for lunch to the Queens Head. They have a spectacular collection of old cricket photographs. Happy Australia Day to you. I will pass on the VB however. I used to drink that in Singapore. It was about the only Australian beer you could get in the supermarket. Living in South Australia , I have become very fond of Coopers Pale.

Both good choices for the theme. Love the clothes! They are coming back in style and I haven’t decided if I’m ready for it again. lol
