This weeks PhotoHunt theme is I-Spy.
One phenomena of living in Japan is the amount of coins you seem to accumulate during the course of a day, and if you are not careful you will end up with more than 50 coins in your pocket at any time, unfortunately most of them being the 1 yen coin.
In addition to the usual assortment of Japanese coins in this photo I have hidden denominations from other countries. Some are easy to spot, some not so easy. To make it a little easier there are more than 5 and less than 10 currencies from other countries, including 1 duplicate country… my home country.
Good luck spotting them all, and if you dare tell/guess how many, and if you are well traveled you may even be able to pick the countries… good luck!
Happy PhotoHunting for this week.
As always I have placed the original full resolution image om my .Mac site to make it easier to spot the foreign currency.
I will post the answers Monday Morning Japan time…
p.s. In my footer I have an image rotator(refresh page to rotate) showing Featured Photos… there is 1 image that doesn’t belong… can you spot that also???
The first person who gets them all correct, including the footer image, before Monday I will send $10 via paypal Closed
Answer:
Unfortunately nobody even attempted to guess the currencies…. Next competition I will make sure somebody can win ![]()

That is a glass that we do not use anymore.
Yeeeks, I spy… lot of coins but what other denomination besides Japanese, I’m afraid I can’t tell you… ;(
What a clever idea for the theme. I think I see an American penny in there.

I think I might see a penny(1 cent) on there but not sure. I wonder what are the ones with the holes.
Ha… no way I can win… I am not a traveler… Good luck to the others!!

I love your photo!
Have a happy weekend!
We have a large container of coins from my years of travelling around Asia. The kids like it for show and tell now and again.
I can’t see anything that I recognize I’m afraid.
I have a huge container of coins from more than forty years of traveling around and being stuck with leftover coins. I should give them to some child as a collection.
Hehe, you need some really deep pocket to shop in Japan!!!
Hi Paul! Unfortunately, I was too late. I would have guessed the Singaporean and US coins
Come see my PH entry if you like a little temple-exploration.
That was cool! I wouldn’t be able to guess it all anyway!
