I took this photo last summer in Okinawa, As you can see behind the Glass there a couple of snakes used in the production of Habushu. J'ai pris cette photo l'été dernier à Okinawa, Comme vous pouvez le voir derrière le verre il ya un couple de serpents utilisés dans la production de Habushu.
Habushu: ハブ酒 Habu(ハブ) is the name of the Snake and Shu/Sake(酒) is Japanese for alcohol. Habushu:ハブ酒Habu (ハブ) est le nom du serpent et Shu / Sake (酒) est le japonais pour l'alcool. This particular poison is over 40% alcohol, which is the minimum % required so the snakes poison remains safe for consumption. Ce poison est de plus de 40% d'alcool, qui est le minimum nécessaire pour l'% serpents poison reste sans danger pour la consommation.
I have my own bottle that cost about ￥１２０００、and is refillable as long as you keep the alcohol content above 40%, and above the level of the snake. It tastes pretty good, as you can imagine strong alcohol taste. Son goût très bon, comme vous pouvez l'imaginer alcool fort goût. Only drunk in small amounts, maybe 2-3 shots is enough for most. Seuls bu en petite quantité, peut-être 2-3 plans est suffisant pour la plupart.

did you ever see a habashu and mongoose fight, I was on Okinawa in the 60's and I saw it one time. avez-vous jamais voyez une mangouste et habashu combat, j'étais sur Okinawa dans les années 60 et je l'ai vu une seule fois.

Wow, that's very interesting! Wow, c'est très intéressant! We're not sure we'd want to try drinking anything with snake venom in it, though. I hate snakes…no fair. Je déteste les serpents ... pas juste. Should have warned us. Si nous avons mis en garde. My heart is beating too fast right now. Mon cœur bat trop vite maintenant.

yep, snake in the bottle. yep, serpent dans la bouteille. but of course it's dead. mais elle est morte. Kind of like pickled snake. Un peu comme picklées serpent.

At least those serpentine little beasties are dead – last snakes I saw behind glass were Tiapans and they were angry little buggers. Au moins ces petites bestioles serpentine sont morts - la dernière, j'ai vu des serpents ont été derrière une vitre Tiapans et ils étaient en colère peu encule. The snake catcher who was showing them let the eastern browns and the carpet snakes out for a wander, but not the taipans – they're nasty little critters. Le serpent qui a été catcher leur montrant l'est de laisser le marron et le tapis de serpents pour une promenade, mais pas les taipans - ils sont peu méchant critters.
