I took this photo last summer in Okinawa, As you can see behind the Glass there a couple of snakes used in the production of Habushu. Tomé esta foto el pasado verano en Okinawa, Como se puede ver detrás del vidrio hay un par de serpientes utilizadas en la producción de Habushu.
Habushu: ハブ酒 Habu(ハブ) is the name of the Snake and Shu/Sake(酒) is Japanese for alcohol. Habushu:ハブ酒Habu (ハブ) es el nombre de la Serpiente y Shu / Sake (酒) es japonés por el alcohol. This particular poison is over 40% alcohol, which is the minimum % required so the snakes poison remains safe for consumption. Este veneno en particular es superior al 40% de alcohol, que es el% mínimo requerido para el veneno de serpientes sigue siendo segura para el consumo.
I have my own bottle that cost about ￥１２０００、and is refillable as long as you keep the alcohol content above 40%, and above the level of the snake. It tastes pretty good, as you can imagine strong alcohol taste. Tiene un sabor muy bueno, como se puede imaginar el sabor del alcohol fuerte. Only drunk in small amounts, maybe 2-3 shots is enough for most. Sólo bebe en pequeñas cantidades, quizás 2-3 tiros es suficiente para la mayoría.

did you ever see a habashu and mongoose fight, I was on Okinawa in the 60's and I saw it one time. ¿Has visto alguna vez un habashu y la lucha mangosta, yo estaba en Okinawa, en los años 60 y lo vi una vez.

Wow, that's very interesting! Wow, eso es muy interesante! We're not sure we'd want to try drinking anything with snake venom in it, though. At least those serpentine little beasties are dead – last snakes I saw behind glass were Tiapans and they were angry little buggers. Al menos las bestias serpentinas están muertos - serpientes última vez que vi detrás de un cristal se Tiapans y se enojaron pequeños bichos. The snake catcher who was showing them let the eastern browns and the carpet snakes out for a wander, but not the taipans – they're nasty little critters.
