I have re-organized the photo gallery so now you can save the images directly from the photo gallery page.

Over the coming weeks I will upload my favorite pictures for you all to enjoy, so be sure to stop back regularly or subscribe to receive the updates. This will be continually updated until the world runs out of server storage!

I also have my new ADSL connection up and running, unfortunately I only realized about a 50% increase in speed, my connection went from 8mbps to 47mbps, but actual speed went from 6 mbps to 9.x mbps, lets call it 10mbps for the guys at the pub yeah… but as all ADSL providers tell you it’s a best effort only, well sometime there best isn’t good enough.

You will also notice a new translation option underneath the title of every post now, this is so all my non-English speaking friends can also enjoy the ramblings of an Aussie in Japan.

If you have experience with another language, I would be interested in your feedback on how good a translation is produced from the tool, I can only vouch for Japanese and at best it is understandable, but Japanese is never translated by any translation tool effectively, you need to translate Japanese 1 word at a time to get good sentence output. oh well, keeps the code jockeys in a job for another year.

BTW there seem to be an issue with posting a comment at the moment, you will recieve a warning when you submit but your comment will make it throough. I am working on this and will have it sorted shortly.
