Wee, now it’s Tuesday and taking a breather to update you all on the Public Holiday events. While I did drink more than my fair share, that is not the reason I didn’t blog yesterday. The day started well with preparation drinks, which in my case usually means half cut by the time guests arrive. Traditionally visitors bring some small present for all to share, unfortunately for me it ended up including two bottles of Sake, or Nihonshu. Nihon meaning Japanese, and Shu meaning liquor. So you got, Japanese Liquor—or my arch nemesis–Sake. Generally the best Sake is drunk cold, but with winter fast approaching I also enjoy the hot variety, aptly name Atsukan, translation Hot Sake. Any way after a bottle of Sake(cold) and 8 beers, some crazy juggling acts that I learned from a good friend it was really time for bed around midnight as I had a 5:30am start the next morning. As it turns out I had very interesting day on Tuesday. The event of which will unfold over time. Oh. BTW everybody loved the Kimchi Nabe which traditionally gets turned in Kimchi rice and egg cooked after all the meat and vegetable are gone…Stay tuned
