As you can guess from the image my latest company sponsored PC is a Mac…. I didn’t think I would see the day. First impression are “wow Vista has a long way to catch up”.
As an old UNIX head I know that the new versions of OSX are Unix based so I am fully confident that it should be stable as a rock. Spending a few hours on the weekend with it I have come to like it already… but more time is needed before I am 100% sold.
It packs a 2.16 Core Duo, 1 gig ram, 160 gig disk, and whatever else macs come with. I have loaded all the usual junk on it and it seems to be a lot quicker than a same speced Vista machine. Stay tuned for more reviews once I start to give it a work out.
