Last weekend I went to Kawagoe, or as everyone know it “Little Edo”, literally translated means River(kawa) Over(goe). El pasado fin de semana fui a Kawagoe, o como todos lo saben "Little Edo", traducido literalmente significa River (Kawa) Más de (GE). I went there to see a friends new house and to explore the yearly festival. Fui allí para ver una nueva casa de amigos y para explorar el festival anual.

This festival is held on the 3rd Saturday and Sunday in October. Este festival se celebra el 3 el sábado y el domingo de octubre. With the old fashioned “kurazukuri” style buildings and the town of “Little Edo” for a background, floats weighing up to 7.5tonnes parade in the city with “Edo-bayashi”, a traditional music.Bands compete with each other, which is called “hikkawase” and is the climax of the parade. Con el clásico "kurazukuri" estilo de los edificios y la ciudad de "Little Edo" para un fondo, flotadores con un peso máximo de 7.5tonnes desfile en la ciudad con "Edo-bayashi", un tradicional music.Bands competir unos con otros, que es llamado "hikkawase" y es el punto culminante del desfile. As usual plenty of food drink and fun exploring this cute town that has held onto it’s Edo period look and feel. Como de costumbre un montón de comida y bebida divertido explorar esta bonita ciudad que ha celebrado en su periodo Edo ver y sentir. The town is surrounded by rivers hence the name and there is quite a lot to see. La ciudad está rodeada por los ríos, por lo tanto, el nombre y hay mucho para ver. Well worth the 30 minutes north of Tokyo. Bien vale la pena los 30 minutos al norte de Tokio. The festival is very interesting were many “Floats” travel the streets under hand power and have a music and stage show on each one, as two floats come together the “Battle” it out and try to persuade each other to follow there tune. El festival es muy interesante muchos "flota" de viaje por las calles en virtud de lado el poder y tienen una etapa de la música y el espectáculo en cada una, como dos flotadores se unen la "Batalla" y que tratar de persuadir a los demás a seguir hay sintonía. The streets a lined with all the usual stall but one in particular to my fancy, Sasebo-Burger! Las calles alineadas una con todos los habituales de un puesto, pero en particular a mi fantasía, Sasebo-Burger! I resisted the temptation of getting one but boy they looked great.I also had Sake in a very peculiar way, drinking from a standard square wooden sake cup but with salt around the edge, kind of like a sake shot. I resistido a la tentación de conseguir un niño, pero esperaba que también había great.I de Sake en una forma muy peculiar, beber de un cuadrado de madera estándar de taza de sake, pero con sal alrededor del borde, como especie de un bien disparo. Very tasty but not exactly what I needed after a big night on Friday. Muy sabrosa, pero no exactamente lo que necesitaba después de una gran noche el viernes. This coming weekend I will go to another very famous area called Nikko, a world heritage area I believe and they have monkeys that take hot baths or as we know it in Japan an Onsen..looking forward to seeing some crazy monkeys wreaking havoc on unsuspecting tourists! Este próximo fin de semana voy a ir a otra zona muy famoso llamado Nikko, una zona de patrimonio mundial y creo que tienen que tener los monos baños calientes o como lo conocemos en Japón un Onsen .. esperando a ver algunos locos monos causando estragos en inocentes turistas! Tomorrow is also the launch of Mac OS X Leopard, could be a busy Friday night, or hopefully everything goes smooth and I can report just how great the new OS X Leopard is.
