With the launch of the iPhone less than 3 weeks away here in Japan I am astounded by the lack of information coming from Softbank and/or Apple. There have been some leaked information but it could have been easily faked.
The cost of the iPhone should follow the global pricing strategy but how much the SoftBank plan will be is still a secret for the most part… but not unexpected as I am sure there are a bunch of ineffective SoftBank managers to scared to commit to anything…
Spending a bit of time on Japanese forums I was able to find some nice glossy brochures so I am starting to feel a bit better that I will be able to get an iPhone on the 11th July, however I am not convinced it will be a 16gig model, I am sure I will be subject to more bureaucracy before I get my hands on a 16gig iPhone here in Japan.. the whisper on the streets is late July for the 16gig iPhone.
At least for now I can enjoy the pamphlets below, sorry SoftBank for showing the public your top secret marketing for the iPhone…
