iPhone 2.0 vs LG Prada

As we wait patiently here in Japan for the iPhone 2.0 to be released, hopefully within this year, NTT DoCoMo is releasing a viable competitor to the iPhone, the Ultra stylish LG Prada. This phone has already been released elsewhere in the world and in known as the LG KE850. While I do shy away from the brand LG, I can’t imagine wanting anymore than 6-9 months life out of it anyway.

The LG Prada has a touch screen like the iPhone allowing users to make a call, e-mail, take and capture photos, listen to music etc…. simply by touching the appropriate icon on the 3 inch screen. The LG Prada has been redeveloped specifically for DOCOMO. The Japanese model includes a full-size touch screen with vibration touch to improve usability. This function activates whenever users touch screen icons to make a call, use e-mail, take and view photos or listen to music, and the 2 megapixel camera is equipped with a German-made Schneider-Kreuznach lens.

Hopefully the LG Prada has a better build quality than other LG products I have experienced…. although attach the brand name “Prada” to anything in Japan and it is sure to sell…..

The feature I am looking for most is the HIGH-SPEED 7.2Mbps data transmission that will make internet usable on the full 3-inch browser…

I really hope the iPhone 2 can accommodate the same 7.2Mbps transmission rate… I guess only time will tell.

vs

The truth is I just want a new phone and I wish the G3 iPhone 2.0 would hurry up and come to Japan… If I have to wait much longer then I will probably end up with an LG Prada while I wait for the iPhone 2.0.
