A couple of weeks ago I traveled down to Matsue for the 2009 Horanenya festival. Um par de semanas atrás, viajei até Matsue para o festival Horanenya 2009. The Horanenya festival is one of three famous boat festivals in Japan. O festival Horanenya é um dos três festivais de barco famoso no Japão. It is held only once every twelve years so I took advantage of this time… É realizada apenas uma vez a cada doze anos, de modo Aproveitei esse tempo ...

The story is that the spirit of a “Kitsune” fox god is transported between two shrines by boat and Kabuki actors dance while the rowers chant “Horanenya!” (a plea to the gods for a good harvest). A história é que o espírito de um "deus Kitsune raposa" é transportado entre dois santuários de barco e Kabuki dança, enquanto os atores cantam remadores "Horanenya!" (Um apelo aos deuses para uma boa colheita).
