With the recent purchase of my Canon EOS 50D I will begin a new series of posts that will try and capture everyday life in Japan through the lens.

I began with a few shots on the way home last night, testing out the low light capability of my Canon 17-55 F/2.8 IS USM lens.. still need to work on the point of reference a little but overall I was happy with my first trial run of the Body and Lens combination.

All shots were hand held with no flash.

    Nice! but the pics seem rather pixellated (look at the lights of the skyscraper building in the last pic). Are they uploaded at the right resolution?

    Taking night shots in tokyo is really cool isn’t it? When’s the next batch coming?

    Yeah, they are pixelated, if you select the image you will see a better version
